Important Info Regarding Covid-19 & OPUD Operations - Effective April 7, 2020

Covid-19 is not in Water

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak the Sutter, Yuba County Public Health Officer Doctor Phuong Luu has restricted activities in public areas this includes the parks playground areas and picnic areas.  These are high touch surfaces and it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

We as a public agency has staggered our staff to ensure that all essential service are met during this emergency.  Ensuring our water and sewer services are operating efficiently is our upmost concern.  Ensuring our parks are safe is a priority but mowing the parks is not.  Non-Essential operations by governmental agencies is to cease per Dr. Luu’s order.

We are unsure of when normal operations will be in back in effect.  Please be patient with our staff, we are doing our best to ensure your essential services are the priority.

PER THE GOVERNOR'S "STAY AT HOME" ORDER, WE ARE STAGGERING OUR BUSINESS OFFICE STAFF AND LIMITING OFFICE HOURS. BUSINESS OFFICE STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE VIA TELEPHONE FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY.

IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, OUR ANSWERING SERVICE WILL STILL BE FIELDING CALLS AND EITHER TAKING MESSAGES OR PASSING THE CALLS THROUGH TO OUR ON-CALL FIELD STAFF.

PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US DURING THIS TIME. WE ARE RUNNING THE DISTRICT WITH MINIMUM STAFFING AND WILL BE PRIORITIZING YOUR NEEDS AND ISSUES ACCORDINGLY.

Our office is also  closed to the public.  Our phone hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. If you need your account number please contact the business office at 530-743-4657 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

During this time, customers can take advantage of our online bill pay service at https://www.opud.org/online-bill-pay  or pay by phone by dialing 855-259-2993.  You can also place checks or money orders in the night drop at the office

District Operations will continue, and our staff is here to help. 

 The COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking water systems. OPUD’s water is treated and continues to remain a safe and healthy source of drinking water.
